Authenticated information disclosure via privileged internal retrieval
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Missing authorization in Elastic Kibana allows remote authenticated users to read Elastic Defend endpoint response data. The internal retrieval capability used by endpoint response actions omits the Security Solution and endpoint privilege checks applied by user-facing paths and queries with elevated internal permissions. Affected versions are 8.12.0 through 8.19.18, 9.0.0 through 9.3.7, and 9.4.0 through 9.4.3; exploitation requires only a low-privileged Kibana account and exposes action records and managed-host response content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.12.0 <=8.19.18
