Authenticated code execution via unchecked model offset

Memory corruption in Elastic Elasticsearch 8.19.0 through 8.19.19 allows remote authenticated users to crash native inference. The native inference process computes a memory address from a model-supplied offset without checking that it remains within its backing storage, permitting out-of-bounds reads and writes. Versions 9.4.0 through 9.4.4 and 9.5.0 are also affected; exploitation requires machine learning enabled, an available machine learning node, and privileges to upload and deploy a trained model, while controlled heap layout enables code execution in the inference process.
