CVE-2026-72588Network attack vector

Account enumeration via differential recovery responses

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

User enumeration in BlueWave Labs Checkmate through 2.1.0 allows remote attackers to identify registered email addresses. The unauthenticated POST /api/v1/auth/recovery/request endpoint returns HTTP 200 when an address exists and a different status when it does not. Repeated requests can validate account identities for later targeting, but do not grant account access.
