CVE-2026-72574Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Script source hijacking via unvalidated Host headers

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Host header injection in Pico through 2.1.4 allows remote attackers to control JavaScript and CSS asset origins in the default theme. Pico::getBaseUrl builds the base URL from unvalidated Host and X-Forwarded-* request headers, then propagates it into theme_url, assets_url, and plugins_url. Exploitation requires base_url to remain unset and user interaction; a crafted response makes the browser load attacker-hosted assets into the rendered page.
