Authenticated command execution via unsanitized restart ID
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
OS command injection in 4xmen pm2panel allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through the restart endpoint. The /restart handler concatenates the id query parameter into a child_process.exec call for pm2 restart without validation or shell escaping. An authenticated panel session is required; shell metacharacters execute with the pm2panel process's privileges, while the CNA lists version 0 despite describing all versions.
