CVE-2026-7256

Adjacent command execution via crafted CGI request

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

OS command injection in Zyxel WRE6505 v2 firmware V1.00(ABDV.3)C0 allows attackers on the LAN to run OS commands via HTTP. The vendor identifies the CGI program as the vulnerable locus but has not disclosed which request parameter reaches an OS command without neutralization. The management endpoint is reachable only from an adjacent LAN, requires no authentication or user interaction, and grants command execution on the device.
