CVE-2026-7248Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Web-management crash via unchecked fn parameter

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in the tgfile.htm CGI endpoint in D-Link DI-8100 16.07.26A1 allows remote attackers to crash web management. The tgfile_htm handler passes the user-controlled fn value to sprintf after an 11-byte prefix without checking whether it fits a 128-byte stack buffer. The public proof of concept uses a session cookie, while the reporter states that some builds expose the endpoint without authentication; a 200-byte value crashes the web server until the device is rebooted.
