Audio denial of service via stale opened state
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Denial of service in Linux 6.16 ALSA Qualcomm USB audio support allows local users to wedge an audio substream. The stream-enable path sets subs->opened before validating service_interval, then returns on an invalid interval without clearing that state. Triggering the error requires local access to a Qualcomm USB-audio stream, and the affected substream returns -EBUSY until it is disabled or disconnected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
