Remote command execution via unsanitized wifiOff parameter
Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A8000RU 7.1cu.643_b20200521 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via wifiOff. The setWiFiBasicCfg handler passes the user-controlled wifiOff value through Uci_Set_Str into an snprintf-built string that CsteSystem executes with execv(). A crafted POST request with addEffect set to 1 reaches the sink, and the published proof of concept demonstrates command execution by creating a file containing directory output.
