Kernel-address disclosure via unmasked verifier-log pseudo pointers
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Information disclosure in the Linux kernel BPF verifier 5.10.0 through 7.1.4 allows local users to read kernel pointers from logs. print_bpf_insn() fails to mask rewritten addresses for BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_IDX, BPF_PSEUDO_MAP_IDX_VALUE, and BPF_PSEUDO_BTF_ID instructions. Access requires permission to load a qualifying BPF program and obtain its verifier log; the flaw exposes addresses without modifying kernel state.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
