Arbitrary file overwrite via unchecked file path
Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in Agiflow scaffold-mcp 1.0.27 and earlier allows remote attackers to write or overwrite arbitrary server files. The write-to-file tool resolves an untrusted file_path as an absolute path or against the process working directory, then writes attacker-controlled content without enforcing a workspace boundary. Access to the MCP interface is required, and writes are limited to files writable by the server process, allowing data or configuration corruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
