Arbitrary file read via unvalidated output path
Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Path traversal in Claude Agent SDK Master 0.1.0 allows remote attackers to read server files through the agent-output API. The route takes outputFile from the request body, normalizes it, and passes the resulting path directly to fs.readFile without enforcing a trusted base directory. Exploitation requires network access to the exposed Next.js route and discloses any regular file readable by the server process, including configuration, credential, or source files.
