Kernel crash via untracked 6LoWPAN enable work
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux Bluetooth 6LoWPAN allows local users to crash the kernel by racing a debugfs enable write with module exit. lowpan_enable_set() queues do_enable_set() and returns, while bt_6lowpan_exit() can remove debugfs state and release listen_chan before that untracked work executes. Local low-privileged access and a concurrent module exit are required; the reproduced outcome is a KASAN-detected slab use-after-free that can interrupt the system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
