Denial of service via unchecked interrupt number
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Improper input validation in LoongArch KVM in Linux 6.7 allows local users to trigger invalid interrupts through a vCPU ioctl. kvm_vcpu_ioctl_interrupt() accepts an irq value from userspace and injects it without first checking whether the interrupt number is valid. Low-privileged local access to a LoongArch KVM vCPU file is required, and the documented consequence is denial of service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
