Local denial of service via leaked modelist entries
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Memory leak in the Linux kernel radeon framebuffer driver allows local users to exhaust memory and interrupt system availability. radeonfb_pci_register() calls radeon_check_modes(), which appends allocated videomode entries to info->modelist, but later error paths return without destroying that list. Reaching the flaw requires low-privileged local access and a Radeon framebuffer registration failure; repeated triggers can deplete memory and interrupt the system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
