Service interruption via Qualcomm remoteproc memory leak
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Resource leak in the Qualcomm remoteproc driver in affected Linux kernels allows local users to exhaust memory and interrupt service. qcom_add_minidump_segments() allocates a minidump_region name but neither records nor frees it when adding the custom region to dump_segments fails. Reachability requires the Qualcomm remoteproc minidump path, low-privileged local access, and a dump-segment insertion failure.
