CVE-2026-7218Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated service crash via unchecked localPin formatting

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK N300RT 3.4.0-B20250430 allows remote authenticated users to crash its management service. The /boafrm/formWsc handler passes the unbounded localPin value through is_cmd_string_valid, which filters metacharacters but not length, and then formats it with sprintf into a fixed stack buffer, overwriting the saved return address. A valid session token is required; the published proof of concept interrupts the Boa management interface, while code execution has not been demonstrated.
