CVE-2026-7214Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Host file access via unenforced workspace boundary

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Path traversal in the eghuzefa data-engineering MCP server 0.1.0 through 0.1.3 allows remote attackers to read and write host files. Caller-supplied paths pass directly to Path objects in read_file, write_file, list_files, and file_info without resolution beneath or validation against WORKSPACE_PATH. Exploitation requires access to the MCP tools, while service-account permissions bound the readable and writable host files.
