CVE-2026-72129Network attack vector

Kernel-memory disclosure via inline-offset underflow

Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in the Linux NVMe/RDMA target allows remote authenticated users to expose kernel memory via crafted inline data. nvmet_rdma_use_inline_sg() validates the total offset and length but treats the offset as first-page relative, so PAGE_SIZE minus a larger offset underflows and the scatterlist length approaches 4 GiB. Exploitation requires an authenticated NVMe/RDMA host and a port configured with inline_data_size above one page; memory disclosure or service interruption can result.
