CVE-2026-72059

Service degradation via CLDMA DMA-pool leak

Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026

Memory leak in the Linux kernel t7xx CLDMA driver allows local users to consume DMA-pool memory when TX or RX ring setup fails. The t7xx_cldma_late_init() failure path frees initialized rings but omits destruction of md_ctrl->gpd_dmapool, leaving each allocation unavailable for reuse. Reachability requires a MediaTek T700 PCIe modem and a late-initialization ring failure; repeated failures degrade availability without disclosing or modifying data.
