CVE-2026-71967

TEE crash via unchecked Widevine PTA session

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in OP-TEE OS 4.10.0 and earlier allows local users to crash the trusted execution environment. The Widevine pseudo-TA open_session handler passes a NULL calling-session result to is_user_ta_ctx(), dereferencing session->ctx and faulting at S-EL1. The flaw is reachable only when CFG_WIDEVINE_PTA is enabled and a Normal World client directly opens the PTA; the resulting panic interrupts the TEE.
