Authenticated command execution via unquoted backup directory
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Command injection in CyberPanel 2.4.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands through remote backups. BackupManager.starRemoteTransfer concatenates the remote API response's dir value into mkdir and chmod command strings without validation or shell quoting. An authenticated panel user must direct a backup at a controlled remote server; successful exploitation runs commands with CyberPanel's OS privileges.
