CVE-2026-71965Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Root SSH access via unverified backup-server key

Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Remote code execution in CyberPanel 2.4.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to gain root SSH access via remote backup. The submitRemoteBackups workflow trusts a public key returned by an attacker-controlled server and appends it to /root/.ssh/authorized_keys without authenticating that server. An authenticated panel account able to initiate remote backups can then use the supplied private key to log in as root and execute commands persistently.
