Authenticated audit-log forgery via missing membership check
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Missing authorization in Bitwarden Server before 2026.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to forge backdated organization audit events. CollectController.Post logged four body-supplied organization event types and timestamps without checking whether the caller belonged to the target organization. Any valid account could corrupt another organization's audit history without reading or deleting vault data.
