Root command execution via unfiltered TFTP filename
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
OS command injection in affected DrayTek VigorSwitch firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute commands with root privileges. The tftp_upgrade function insufficiently filters the filename field before concatenating it into an operating-system command. Valid administrative web-interface credentials are required, and DrayTek reports no documented trigger or practical attack path.
