Root access via predefined Telnet credentials
Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026
Hard-coded Telnet credentials in the T-CPE301K 4G LTE Router allow remote attackers on the same network to gain root access. The device accepts predefined static credentials through its Telnet service on port 23 instead of requiring device-specific credentials. Exploitation requires network access to the router and a reachable Telnet service; the public record does not establish WAN exposure or whether Telnet is enabled by default.
