Root command execution via insufficient event_code filtering
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
OS command injection in DrayTek VigorAP firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. The tr069TestInform function insufficiently filters dangerous characters before concatenating event_code into a system command. Administrative web-interface credentials are required, and DrayTek reports that no practical attack path has been demonstrated.
