Unauthorized workflow-instance modification via missing write check
Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Apache DolphinScheduler before 3.4.3 lets remote authenticated users modify workflow instances through an API request. The PUT /projects/{projectCode}/workflow-instances/{id} handler accepts an update without enforcing the target project's write permission. A user with project read permission but no write permission can alter an existing workflow instance; the evidence does not establish workflow execution or workflow-definition changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
