Stored XSS via unrestricted URL widget schemes
Published Jun 8, 2026 · Updated Jun 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Checkmk's URL dashboard widget allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in dashboard viewers' browsers. The widget stores any supplied URI scheme and renders the resulting link, so a javascript: URL executes in another viewer's browser session. Exploitation requires dashboard-editing permission and a victim to open the shared dashboard; affected releases are before 2.5.0p5, before 2.4.0p31, before 2.3.0p48, and all 2.2.0 versions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
