SYSTEM code execution via writable DLL search path
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
DLL hijacking in Evope Collector before 1.1.7.13 allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM via a crafted wtsapi32.dll. Evope.Service.exe, running as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, searches C:\ProgramData\Evope before System32 and loads wtsapi32.dll without validating its origin. A local unprivileged user must be able to place the DLL in that directory; the payload executes at service startup or reboot with full SYSTEM rights.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
