Cross-hub data manipulation via unverified event source
Published Aug 10, 2026 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Data-authenticity failure in Red Hat Multicluster Global Hub allows remote authenticated users to alter or delete other hubs' status data. The manager accepts the self-asserted CloudEvent source on Kafka status topics as the leaf-hub identity without binding it to the presenting client certificate. Exploitation requires control of a managed hub and its valid Kafka client certificate, enabling falsification or deletion of compliance, inventory, and health records for other hubs.
