CVE-2026-71562Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Service degradation via unbounded numeric header conversion

Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026

Denial of service in Erlang/OTP inets httpc allows remote attackers controlling an HTTP server to degrade client availability. httpc_handler and httpc_response convert unbounded Content-Length and Retry-After digit strings to arbitrary-precision integers before enforcing useful limits. The affected process must initiate an HTTP request to a malicious or compromised server; the demonstrated effect is hundreds of milliseconds of arithmetic per response.
