CWE-59 in go-git before 5.19.2 and 6.0.0-alpha.1 through 6.0.0-alpha.4 allows remote attackers to read or write arbitrary files. The worktreeFilesystem wrapper validates path strings but follows existing symlinks in leading or final components, redirecting worktree operations beyond their boundary. Exploitation requires an attacker-controlled symlink, a filesystem-backed worktree, and an application operation such as checkout, status, or add; memory-backed worktrees are unaffected.
