CVE-2026-71555Network attack vector

Phishing redirection via retained window.opener access

Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026

Reverse tabnabbing in THM-Health PILOS 2.1.0 through 4.14.0 allows remote authenticated users to redirect PILOS tabs via room links. The room-description link handler opens confirmed destinations with window.open(), while responses omit Cross-Origin-Opener-Policy and preserve the destination page's window.opener reference. Exploitation requires a victim to confirm and open an attacker-supplied link; cross-origin pages can navigate the original tab to phishing content, while same-origin pages can control its content and session actions.
