Stored script execution via unescaped component title
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Stored XSS in GetSimple CMS Community Edition 3.3.22 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in the admin panel. In admin/components.php, component titles are saved to XML and later inserted into double-quoted HTML attributes without attribute-safe encoding. An authenticated administrator must save a crafted title; the script executes when an authenticated user opens the Components page.
