Command execution via unsanitized tty_server argument
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Command injection in TOTOLINK A8000RU 7.1cu.643_b20200521 allows remote attackers to execute OS commands via CGI requests. The setAdvancedInfoShow handler in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi passes tty_server through Uci_Set_Str, which inserts untrusted input into a command executed by CsteSystem. Network access to the management interface is required; the CNA reports no authentication requirement, although the published demonstration includes a session cookie.
