Expense approval bypass via unrestricted field updates
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Improper authorization in Dolibarr ERP & CRM before 24.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to approve expense reports via its REST API. The update endpoint mass-assigns attacker-controlled status, approver, and approval-state fields without checking the dedicated approval right or generating the normal approval timestamp. Expense-creation rights are sufficient to move reports to approved or closed states, corrupting workflow integrity and leaving inconsistent audit records.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
