Fleet-wide code execution via propagated image override
Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026
Code injection in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a Search CR. The search-v2-operator accepts Collector.ImageOverride from the hub Search custom resource and propagates that image to the collector on every managed cluster without restricting its source. Patch access to the hub Search resource is required; a highly privileged user can run attacker-controlled containers and exfiltrate secrets across the managed fleet.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
