Git argument validation bypass via unchecked SCM branch
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Input validation bypass in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform allows remote authenticated users to submit leading-dash SCM branch values. LaunchConfigurationBaseSerializer accepts these values for schedules and workflow job template nodes instead of applying the check used by other serializers. A user must have permission to modify those objects; the jobs task rejects the values before Git execution, so the disclosed state does not execute commands.
