Authenticated path-existence disclosure via custom_venv_path validation
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Path-existence disclosure in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform allows remote authenticated users to probe controller pod paths. StringListPathField.to_internal_value() passes each unbounded custom_venv_path value to os.path.exists(), and the API returns 200 for existing paths and 400 otherwise. A tenant superuser can confirm sensitive controller-pod locations, including secret and service-account paths, but cannot read file contents through this oracle.
