Application crash via out-of-range timestamp conversion
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Integer underflow in Adobe C2PA Tool 0.26.70 and earlier and Rust SDK 0.89.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash applications. The GeneralizedTime conversion calls expect on a DER conversion of an attacker-controlled PKCS#9 signing time, so a date outside 1970–9999 panics instead of returning an error. No authentication or user interaction is required when a network-facing application validates a crafted manifest; the reported consequence is an application crash with no confidentiality or integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
