CVE-2026-7144Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via unchecked password-target session value

Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026

Improper authorization in Portfolio Management System MCA 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to change another user's password. update_passwd_process.php trusts the temp_user session value as the target email and updates reg_details without confirming control of that account. A valid session and control of temp_user are required; a successful request resets the selected account's password, enabling account takeover.
