Unauthenticated file upload via incomplete frontend form validation
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Statamic CMS before 5.74.3 or 6.0.0 through 6.24.1 allows remote attackers to store disallowed files. FrontendFormRequest::extraRules validated only assets with the global AllowedFile rule, omitting files fields and asset-container validation rules. A public frontend form with an assets or files field is required; executable .php and .html uploads remain blocked by the global allowlist.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
