Server command execution via path-traversing file upload
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Code Projects Online Lot Reservation System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side PHP. The activity.php handler concatenates the directory parameter into the upload path, preserves the submitted filename, and trusts getimagesize(), which accepts a PHP payload prefixed with GIF magic bytes. An administrator session is required; placing the crafted file in the web root enables command execution with the web server's privileges.
