Unauthorized component instantiation via unvalidated island props
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Improper input validation in Nuxt 3.1.0 through 3.21.9 and 4.0.0 through 4.5.0 allows remote attackers to instantiate components. The /__nuxt_island/ endpoint accepts a top-level as prop and passes undeclared attributes into Vue dynamic component resolution without constraining the string to intended components. Exploitation requires active server islands and an attacker-controlled path into a dynamic component sink; reachable global components or native elements can expose data or alter rendered content, but this path does not execute arbitrary JavaScript.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 3.1.0, < 3.21.10
