Metadata disclosure via unchecked same-repository references
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Authorization bypass in Gitea 1.27.2 and earlier lets remote authenticated users read private pull request titles via markup previews. The renderRepoIssueIconTitle function checks repository unit permissions only for cross-repository references, leaving same-repository references unchecked. Wiki-only access to the private repository is sufficient to expose titles and state icons, but not bodies, comments, or attachments.
