Event disclosure and status forgery via missing authorization
Published Oct 5, 2026 · Updated Oct 5, 2026
Authentication bypass in Red Hat Multicluster Engine for Kubernetes allows remote attackers with a valid client certificate to access gRPC event streams. The Maestro gRPC broker lacks an authorization interceptor for publish and subscribe requests, allowing a certificate holder to consume another consumer's events or submit forged agent status. Access to the broker and a valid client certificate are required; the documented consequences are event disclosure and status-data integrity loss.
