Authenticated remote code execution via unsandboxed Twig rendering
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Server-side template injection in Bolt Core 6.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands through content fields. Field::getTwigValue compiles raw allow_twig field data with the application Twig environment and renders it without sandbox restrictions. A standard editor with permission to edit the default pages content field can run commands as the web server account when that content is rendered.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
