Script execution via unencoded OTA host parameter
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Reflected XSS in OpenBK7231T_App allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a crafted OTA host parameter. The http_fn_ota_exec() handler passes the host query value to hprintf255() inside an HTML heading without applying HTML encoding. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to click a malicious OTA URL, after which script runs in the device interface's browser context.
