Unauthenticated file access and RCE via path traversal
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Path traversal in IoTSharp allows remote attackers to read, write, modify, or delete arbitrary files without authentication. BlobStorageController omits authorization, and its Upload, Download, Modify, and Delete actions pass unvalidated path or filename values directly to blob-storage operations. Network access to the exposed API is sufficient; uploaded files placed in web-accessible locations enable remote code execution through a web shell.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
